Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) is doubling down on hybrid cloud with new automated cloud operating model called HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud.

The company said that its new offering will help enterprises manage and optimize the workloads hosted in public and private clouds.

By automating the management of enterprise workloads in public and private clouds, the GreenLake will eliminate the need of skilled staff to manage cloud environments, and reduce human error.

The organizations that don’t use cost optimization processes will average 40% overspend in public cloud, according to Gartner. Cost management and compliance are two of the biggest challenges for organizations implementing cloud infrastructure.

HPE aims to address these challenges with the GreenLake Hybrid Cloud. It offers automated cloud operations for optimized performance, simplified IT, cost controls, compliance and security, with support for leading cloud solutions like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Azure Stack.

The new hybrid cloud service leverages the cloud architecture and implementation expertise from HPE Pointnext in addition to the technology it obtained by acquiring Cloud Technology Partners and RedPixie.

“Enterprises need a fast, simple way to optimize their public and on-premises clouds to enable applications and data under a common operating model,” said Ana Pinczuk, SVP and GM of HPE Pointnext. “HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud is a breakthrough solution that removes the complexity of operating multiple clouds and enables customers to maintain control, reduce costs and accelerate time to value.”

Built on an automated toolset that features HPE OneSphere and software-defined technology, the HPE GreenLake Hybrid Cloud provides enterprises a shorter time to cloud and increased speed of IT operations. It will be available as pay-as-you-go consumption-based solution, with continuous monitoring of cost control areas so that businesses can reduce total cost of ownership.

It monitors the failures and remediation in real-time, and alerts the IT managers along with providing the recommendations. The continuous synchronization and monitoring controls will help companies to reduce the unintended risks.
