Microsoft has been taking huge strides in the cloud industry.

To accelerate its growth journey, Microsoft India has today announced in a mail to its partners that Rajiv Sodhi will take on a new role as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Microsoft India with immediate effect. In this role, he will drive end-to-end operations of Microsoft India.

Rajiv Sodhi is presently serving Microsoft India as Executive Director, Partnerships and SMEs since 2017. In the last 2.5 years, Rajiv has built a strong One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization to foster strategic partner-customer-Microsoft engagement. He also served as Country Head, Cloud and Server Business for a period of seven months with Microsoft, India.

In his previous stint with GoDaddy India and Australia, he was the Vice President and Manging Director for 4 and half years. Before joining GoDaddy, he was associated with Microsoft for nearly 11 years as Director – India SMB, Cloud and Software Sales through Distribution and Reseller Channel Management in which he led sales and marketing efforts of Microsoft India in the SMB market, and as Director, Cloud/SaaS Sales and Marketing, he was responsible for all SaaS revenues from the SMB market for all products including Windows Hosting, SQL Server, Office365, Azure, Dynamics CRM Online and Windows Intune.

Venkatesh Krishnan will now take over as the Executive Director, Commercial Partners, Microsoft India with immediate effect. Both Rajiv and Venkat will continue to work with Microsoft partners and build on the strong foundation built in their prior roles.
